Today’s Holy Saint: Saint James the Apostle

St James the Apostle, the son of Zebedee, with his brother John left a prosperous fishing business to follow Jesus. James was the first of the Apostles to die for Jesus (Acts 12: 1-2). Today, you can walk the Camino de Santiago in Spain to visit the shrine containing his body.

For Catholics he’s the patron saint of laborers, equestrians, veterinarians and more.
